I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years. This week, Staples employees across the country will have their hours reduced. I am starting to here rumors and whispers about our petition around work, but I want to take it to the next level. For this to work, we need to generate as much buzz at Staples Corporate that we can. Will you join me today in taking action on Facebook and Twitter to support the campaign?
Last week, Staples announced a new corporate slogan (“Make More Happen”) by using the hashtag #WhatTheL on Twitter and Facebook. You can help increase the pressure on Staples by taking two easy actions now:
1) FACEBOOK: Go to Staples’ Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/staples) and post a comment like this: “Staples: It is unfair to cut your employees’ hours to take advantage of a loophole in Obamacare. That’s why I’ve joined this campaign: http://www.change.org/Staples. Please reconsider your cuts to employees’ hours or I may have to take my business elsewhere.”
2) TWITTER: Post a Tweet including @Staples and the #WhatTheL hashtag as well as the petition link like this: “Hey @Staples: #WhatTheL is with your cuts to employees’ hours? Please #MakeMoreHappen by giving back their hours: http://www.change.org/Staples”
